Why, Lavender?

I realize this is a little dated, but... Does the (soon to be ex-) mayor of St. Paul (pictured above with bosom buddy Dubbya) deserve free press during an election? Hells no! Why, then, did Lavender magazine put him on the cover of their latest issue and do a fluffy story on him???? They didn't ask any questions on GLBT issues, nor did they confront him about his endorsement of Bush in last year's election. A letter to the editor is pending.

Randy Kelly makes my heart cry inside. St. Paul is a great city. A wonderful city. A beautiful city. But we're always going to thought of as small-townish and a less progressive than shiny MPLS to the west unless we get a real leader who can make progress in areas that will effect the people's lives. I think Elizabeth Dickinson could be that someone....
